Time for a change for the Rams

Well its all change down at Pride Park, or at least for the games involving Derby County. it's a sad fact that now days you can't buy a ticket for a game or indeed book a hotel and make a weekend of the match, without having the prospect of the game having a new kick-off time or put back to the following day.

The Rams are no strangers to this practise for TV or other reasons but do the authorities take into consideration the fans and their arrangements for travel etc. For the second time in three years the Rams now find themselves having to play the traditional New Years day game a day late. The trip to Bolton was due to be played as most of the other games around the country on Tuesday 1st January 2008 but for an unexplained reason the Rams now play the game at 8.00pm on Wednesday 2nd January.

The Rams see the home game with Everton due to be played on Saturday 28th October now delayed until Sunday 28th.

Newcastle was to be the destination on Saturday 22nd November but the demands of television means the game is now taking place on Sunday 23rd, with a 2.00pm kick off.

Next up for a re-shuffle is the home game with Blackburn Rovers, you will have to forgo the Sunday roast if you want to make the 1.30pm kick-off on Sunday 30th December.

So there you have it! If you are a traditionalist then you will be moaning about games that should be played on a Saturday with a 3.00pm kick-off, but today the game is all about money and the multi million pound TV deals, so keep checking to see when, where and what time the Rams will be performing...
