Once again it is being reported in the media that Barbara Clough and the rest of the Clough family are very upset with the film "The Damned United" due to be released in cinema's later this month.

The Clough family were reported on Derby County mad as being upset over the book, The damned United, on which the film is based. Barbara Clough holds the book in abhorrence, as do all the family, as they feel it wrongfully portrays him as a two-dimensional ruthless, obsessive, foul-mouthed character, which was certainly not the man they knew and loved

Nigel Simon and Elizabeth
Nigel, Simon and Elizabeth, children of Brian Clough are extremely angry at the way their father is portrayed in the film and book, 'The Damned United'.
Clough's daughter, Elizabeth, said her mother, Barbara, and brothers, Simon and Nigel, the manager of Derby County football club, objected to the film, which she described as a "ludicrous interpretation" of her father.

We are certain that most fans and people who ever met Brian will make their own mind up about the film and Brian Clough will remain a legend in Derby and Nottingham.

The £5m Sony Pictures film will be released on the 27th March. The running time is 2 hours and stars Michael Sheen as Brian Clough, Jim Broadbent as Sam Longson and Timothy Spall as Peter Taylor and Colin Meaney as Don Revie...
