A row is threatening to brew up for Derby County and their new set of directors as it was today announced that the Rams will take on the Franchise United team in a pre-season friendly.

Supporters and supporters groups are not happy playing the pariah of the football league, following their relocation to Milton Keynes and name change for Wimbledon FC.

Several teams, including Queens Park Rangers and Colchester have called off planned games against the Milton Keynes second division outfit . This is mainly down to fan pressure and it is surprising that the Derby County board have not thought about the implications and feeling of their own and other supporters before committing to this game.

Derby County are scheduled to play MK Dons on Saturday July 15th at 3-00pm at the National Hockey centre.

Fans groups are hoping that Rams Chairman Peter Gadsby will re-consider the game and like many teams before pull-out and stop the game going ahead.
