Rams fans held their breath last night as Jason Shackell, an ever present and major force in Derby County's defence had to leave the field last night against Leeds United.
Shackell appeared to land awkwardly and hobbled around the field for a few minutes after the incident but eventually had to be replaced by Ryan Shotton in the 37th minute of the game.
Early reports today are that Shackell's injury is not that bad but no prognosis on the injury has yet been made by the Rams medical team. They will wait and see if he can train on the ankle injury before making any predictions for his inclusion in Saturday's key game of the season at the Riverside Stadium against Middlesbrough.
