Robbie Savage no break but a badly bruised foot
The Rams breathed a sigh of relief as Captain Robbie Savage was declared battered and bruised but no sign of a break to his foot was found when he underwent a scan.

Savage was substituted in the 74th minute but manager Paul Jewell insists it was to allow Mile Sterjovski to make his home debut rather than for the injury to Savage.

It is unclear as to how long Savage may be out of action but the foot is severely bruised after one of several poor challenges by Tottenham players that went un-noticed by referee Martin Atkinson.

With the Rams not playing again until the 23rd February it is hoped that several small niggling injuries may respond to treatment and allow Paul Jewell more options when he returns to Wigan's JJB stadium for the first time since his departure from the club in 2007.
