Rams young midfield/striker joins the Lions for a month

The Rams have loaned division one side, Millwall Ryan Smith. The 20 year-old midfield/striker has struggled to command a regular first team place with the Rams since his move to Pride Park at the start of the season from Premiership Arsenal.Billy Davies is looking for Smith to get some regular first team experience and return to the Rams as cover during their crucial last two games of the season. There is no suggestion yet that the loan may turn out to be a permanent one but Smith has expressed his appreciation for his return to London.
