Rams win friendly against Matlock Town

matlockDerby County claim a late winner against Matlock Town in the latest pre-season friendly.

The Rams played yet more players on the fringes of the first team squad. In goal Roy Carroll played what may turn out to be the final game for Derby County. Martin Albrechtsen was another player not thought to feature in the new seasons plans of Nigel Clough.

The opening goalof the evening came from the Rams, scored by Mendy. Matlock were not behind long as Nathan Benger equalised for Matlock. Mills made sure that Derby went into the half time break with a 2-1 lead.

Matlock took the fight to Derby and equalised for the second time with Benger claiming his brace to square the match.

With time running out Projovic continued his scoring during the pre-season games and clinched the game in the 81st Minute
