Rams win first warm-up game

A hard fought local pre-season friendly saw Championship side Derby County grab a 0-1 victory.

Nigel Clough saw his faith in striker Chris Porter justified as he slotted in the first goal of the pre-season games from short range.

Clough played several of his new players and trialists and played a near different team in both halves of the game.

Patrick Kisnorbo, on trial with the Rams had a particularly good game playing more than an hour for Derby.

A crowd of 3,518 saw the spectacle and both sides can hopefully take something from the game in preparation for the coming season...
