FA charges , police interviews and that sinking feeling. All of these things have been experienced by the Derby County squad this week.

Friday the 13th was unlucky for Darren Moore as his season was effectively finished when a retrospective charge of violent conduct was levelled at the giant central defender and subsequently upheld by an FA review.

this vital point of the season were not enough, the Rams suffered their second piece of bad luck during the weekends game with Ipswich. What seemed like a minor spat following an Ipswich corner , saw firstly Ipswich defender Alex Bruce, and then Bywater shown the red card. Bywater seemed to loose his head as he realised that being shown the red for violent conduct meant his season was now finished unless the Rams were involved with the play-offs. He allegedly attacked Bruce as he was leaving the pitch and had to be held back by stewards and Police. The Suffolk and Derbyshire police forces were said to have had words with Stephen following the incident

Billy Davies was shocked at the red cards and like most people thought two yellows should have been shown at the time by the referee. Bywaters actions after the red card wil rule out any appeal over the sending-off.
