Paul Connolly may be a Rams player next season
Derby County appear to have secured the services of Plymouths talented Right back Paul Connelly. The 24 year old Scouser has caught the eye of fellow scouser Paul Jewell and it now appears, although not confirmed as yet, that the Rams will be taking Connelly to Pride Park for the start of the 2008-09 season.

One area of Connelly's game that has attracted Jewell's interest is the fact that this right back loves to get in forward positions and is a good crosser of the ball, something that Derby will need next season. The Rams are already rumoured to be trying to bring in Nottingham Forest midfield/winger Kris Commons, who will give the Rams crosses from the left wing.

All of these are as yet unsubstantiated rumours but very strong ones and are the type of player Jewell will be looking to bring in for the Championship season...
