Ferrie Bodde
Ferrie Bodde priced at £2m by Swansea
Derby County's pursuit of Swansea City's Ferrie Bodde has reached a make or break situation. The Rams initial bid of £500,000 was laughed off by the Welsh club. This figure was ten times what Swansea paid for Bodde just 12 months ago

The player however has put in a transfer request, which has been turned down by the Swansea City Chairman Hew Jenkins. Bodde has two years of a three year contract still left to run.

Jenkins has valued the influential Dutchman at £2m stating that they would have to look at offers around that mark. He also rates Bodde as a top four Premiership player, this of course may well just be hype to keep interested parties bidding for the 26 year-old, although Reading are said to also be interested in the player.

Adam Pearson speaking for the Rams has already stated that Bodde would be "an important signing" and "we intend to pursue Bodde until a successful outcome is reached". Will the price tag put the Rams of further interest or will the £2.6m raised from the sale of Robert Earnshaw be used to complete this "important signing"?...
