Leroy Lita destroys the Rams reserves
Derby County's season seems to be a never ending catalogue of defeats. The latest five goal drubbing going to the reserve side, made up ironically of several players close or in the first team squad. The Rams were holding their own during the first half against Reading on Wednesday but yet again going behind in the final minutes of the half to a Leroy lita goal.

Lita was to go on and have a superb game netting four times against a Rams side that had no answers.

A starting attacking line up of new signing Mile Sterjovski and £3.5m record signing Rob Earnshaw were looking ineffective as Lita began his goal scoring rampage.

Derby used six first team players, but the game was beyond them as the second half started. Questions now have to be asked of Gary Teale, David Jones, Eddie Lewis, Benny Feilhaber, Rob Earnshaw and new boy Mile Sterjovski. Derby are still looking to record a win in the reserve league this season.

With the Rams reserves recording defeats of 0-6 to Aston Villa and 0-8 to West Ham, do we have players good enough for the Premiership or even the Championship or will further investment be required to make the Rams a force again? The reserve team now faces Birmingham city in the Barclays Premier reserve league (south section). The game will be played at Burton Albion's Pirelli stadium on Monday 18th February kick-off 7.00pm...
