Fans have been over joyed to learn that from the 1st of January the Ipro Stadium will revert back to its original name of Pride Park Stadium.
Following a business review last year by owner Mel Morris and the new ownership structure at Ipro Sports drinks decided it would be in everyones best interests if the naming rights agrement between the two parties was terminated.
Ipro sports drink manufacturers signed a ten year naming rights deal with Derby County in 2013, with a value said to be worth around £7m.
With the stadium going back to being called Pride Park stadium, the will of the fans who originally voted for the name has now been restored.
Fans, some of whom have never fully accepted the name, Ipro Stadium have been reacting well to the news and look forward to a New Year of promise at Pride Park Stadium.
