Rams new striker Steve Howard celebrates a goal for Luton Town
Derby County have revealed there first signing of the season. They have splashed out £1million to bring Luton Town striker Steve Howard to Pride Park.

Howard is 30 years old and has been the leading striker at Kenilworth Road for the past five seasons, many of his goals enabling the Hatters to climb into the Championship and consolidate that position last season.

Howard managed 14 goals last season and a return like that would solve one of the Rams greatest problems at the moment in the striker department.

Luton fans are devastated by the move after Howard had become a crowd favourite for his goal scoring exploits. The Hatters however wanted to cash in on the striker.
