Derby County are thought to have offered around £600,000 for the highly rated Celtic Midfielder Stephen Pearson.
Pearson was previously under Billy Davies' wing at Motherwell and the new Rams manager is very keen to bring Pearson to Derby.
Derby fans will welcome the move after no players have come into the Rams squad since Davies took over. It was the small size of the Rams squad that plunged them into relegation trouble last season and is something that has to be addressed before the August 6th Kick-off.
