Rams season ticket sales ahead of last season

Derby County are again ahead of last seasons take-up of season tickets according to the clubs website. At this point last season, after the discount period had ended for season ticket renewals, the total was 16,886 seat tickets purchased. The total sales at the close of the ticket office on Sunday 18th April and at the close of this seasons discount period was 17,357, A rise of 471.

This figure may have been higher but with recent events in Iceland and the volcanic ash closing British airspace and all airports. Many supporters have been caught in the travel chaos that has taken place. Supporters have rung the Rams ticket office to ask about an extension to the price freeze due to the extenuating circumstances and these are being looked at by the club on a one to one basis. Many would argue that they could have renewed over the phone by credit card but with a £10 surcharge on each ticket purchased would have added to an already expensive period for these supporters.

Many supporters have taken up the option of finance deals aimed at spreading the load of the season ticket throughout the year. This includes the mobile phone offers, which are reported to be gaining in popularity...
