Derby County have rejected a move to take striker Chris Maguire back over the border

Twenty 22 year-old  Chris Maguire, who joined Derby County last summer has seen a loan bid to take him back to Scotland by Hibernian rejected by the Rams.

Maguire has been surplus to Nigel Clough's requirements since his £400,000 move from Aberdeen and the loan rejection seems a little odd if Nigel Clough doesn't see his future being at Derby.

The Rams now have a number of strikers either fit or nearing full fitness and the Hibs boss Pat Fenlon saw the loan application as a way of giving the young striker some playing time but it now seems he will have to wait his chance with the Rams...
