Rams linked with Forest midfielder Chris Commons

There is speculation in at least two national newspapers this morning that Chris Commons (24), the Nottingham Forest midfielder will be joining the Rams on a £10,000 per week 3 year contract.

The Forest midfield star has hit 10 goals this season, one helping Forest win against Yeovil on Saturday to clinch automatic promotion to the Championship.

Midfielders with an eye for goal is what the Rams are short of at present and Commons would add that extra ingredient to make the Rams a competative force again.

The deal is expected to be completed immediately after the season has finish on Sunday. Commons will be a free agent at this time and sees his future with the Rams rather than down the A52 with Forest...
