Rams manager makes the headlines of Sunday paper

Derby County Manager Paul Jewell has made the headlines in a Sunday paper for all the wrong reasons.

The married 43 year old father of two has videoed himself with a blonde married woman and the News of the World newspaper shows some very revealing scenes from the hour long tape. The editors at the News of the World have seen fit to cover up the dignity of the woman with strategically placed Derby County FC logo's, something that the new American owners will not be pleased about and could have repercussions for the clubs manager and others.

The video is said to be around about 18 months to two years old. It is believed that the tape was made during his managerial career with Wigan. One of the videos most shocking scenes is said to show the woman begging for sex on his Mercedes, with JJB as the number plate, relating to the JJB Stadium where Wigan Athletic play their games.

Other sources say that this video was the main reason for Jewell leaving his job as Wigan manager after six years in charge. The official version of events was Paul was exhausted trying to keep Wigan in the Premiership, which he achieved, and also to save his marriage!

Jewell, who is on a £1.5m per season contract with Derby seems to have let himself and his wife of 21 years, Ann Marie, along with his 17 year old son and 14 year old daughter down.

He has of course also brought the name of Derby County football club into his sordid world. The press will of course have yet another field day at the expense of the Rams, as if this season of dire results and insults from all sides of the media hasn't been enough for Rams fans to endure.

Will this mean the end of Paul Jewell as manager of Derby County, or will the new American owners have pity on a man chosen to lead the Rams to promotion to the Premiership again next year?

Will questions be asked of Jewell or was this episode of his private life over with long before becoming the manager of Derby County?

Again Rams fans and Paul Jewell must be hoping and praying this season horrabilis will soon be consigned to history...
