Rams lose £2.16m last year but is an improvement

tom glickDerby County have published their accounts for the year 2010. The financial statement shows the Rams are still making a loss, losing £2.16m last year.

The loss has been hailed as a success by Derby County CEO, following the £14.93m losses of the previous twelve months. He went on to acknowledge that this still not good news but proves the club are heading in the right financial direction.

Glick, went on to claim, “Derby County is in healthy and stable financial shape to move forward”. He went on to claim that the owners of Derby County FC have invested a further £24m into the club since purchasing it in January 2008.

The Rams CEO commented that they are “determined to return the Rams to the Premier League”. To achieve this a big overhaul of the squad has been mentioned by Glick. He envisages a swift move in the transfer market once it opens again on the 9th May in preparation for a push for promotion next season.
