Rams look to sign Stead again

Jon Stead, will the striker be returning to Pride Park?

There is no doubt Nigel Clough is looking to beef up the Rams attack following injuries to loan players already tried by the club this season. The latest rumour concerns Jonathan Stead.

Stead has already been a Ram once, playing 17 games (2 as substitute) for Derby and scoring on three occasions whilst on loan from Sunderland three years ago.

It is thought that Stead is out of favour in a struggling Ipswich side and may return for another loan to the Rams.

Ipswich boss, Roy Keane has acknowledged the interest but confirms that no approach has yet been made by Derby County to take Stead to Pride Park but would not be surprised to receive one in the near future...
