C:WindowsTempphp52A0.tmpReports in the media have The Rams linked with a move for £2m rated attacking midfielder Jota.

The 23-year-old who's real name is Jose Ignacio peleteiro Ramollo, still has two years of a three year contract to serve with Brentford but the £2m fee may be too much to resist for the club with a crowd capacity of just 12,300 and narrowly missing out on promotion via the play-offs.

Brentford may also be further tempted to cash in on Jota after yesterday's signing of Akaki Gogia (23) from Hallescheiz FC on a Bosman free transfer.

Jota was was a signing for Brentford from Celta Vigo just last Summer, scoring 11 goals from 46 games.

Derby County may have competition for Jota, as promoted Bournemouth are also said to be interested and the prospect of playing in the Premiership may sway the Spaniard. Derby County do have chances however as they already have Raul Albentosa, who played with Jota at Eibar in the Spanish league.
