Stephen Bywater recovering after back injury and in line for a return to action

Nigel Clough is hopeful that the continued response to treatment on the injured back of Stephen Bywater will enable him to be named in the squad for Saturday. Clough however has emphasised that they will not rush Bywater back into action and risk further damage to his back injury.

Bywater played just 13 minutes of the ill fated game against Reading on March 10^th, when the back problem forced him off. He has missed the last two Rams games and is quoted as being "desperate" to return to action for Derby County but Clough fears a return too soon could see Bywater out for weeks or even the rest of this season.

Meanwhile on-loan Liverpool keeper David Martin continues to deputise in goal...
