Clayton Fortune
Derby County look set to bring Bristol City left sided defender Clayton Fortune to Pride Park. The 23 year-old is currently out of contract with Bristol City where he has been for the last six seasons.

Fortune joined Bristol City from the Tottenham Hotspurs Academy, where he played in their U19 and U19 teams.

Billy Davies is no stranger to Fortune as he tried unsuccessfully to sign the Bristol City man whilst at Preston, offering first £100,000 and upping the deal to £150,000.

At 6ft 3 inches in height and around the 13 stone mark Fortune could well be what they are looking for in either the left side or central defence areas.

A trial of two weeks has started for Fortune at Moor Farm and Davies is keen to bring the player into his squad, saying “he needs work” but with training he hopes he will have bagged himself a player worth a fortune.
