Rams draw at Solihull Moors

Mark Grocott pushed in the penalty area for Commons to score the Rams goal in a 1-1 draw

A very close run thing in a rain soaked friendly for Derby County at Solihull Moors.

The Rams had a trialist and Scottish International Kris Commons to thank for their only goal. Mark Grocott Stoke City's striker on trial with the Rams, with a view to a six month loan from the Premiership club, was pushed whilst in the penalty area and Commons cooly send the keeper the wrong way with the penalty in the 34th minute.

Despite the score there were positives from the game. Ben Pringle once again had a good game on the left side of midfield and Arnaud Mendy continued his good run of form in midfield....
