C:WindowsTempphpDC27.tmpDerby County have stated that they are interested in aquiring Bristol City central defender Aden Flint.

The 27 year-old hails from Pinxton in Derbyshire and was once scouted by the Rams but not thought to have a future with Derby County. Flint played over 100 times for Alfreton Town before a brief loan period to Matlock Town. He was then signed up by Swindon Town in (2011-13) before moving to Bristol City.

Flint helped Swindon Town win the league two title in his first season for them before his switch to Bristol City, where he also gained promotion from league one in 2014-15, the same season Bristol won the Football League Trophy.

He has played every league game for Bristol this season and has played for the Robins 168 and scored 28 times, which has to be a bonus for a central defender.

Derby County are said to be willing to match any offer so far for Flint who is rated at £5m but they will have some tough competition for his signiture from Premiership West Bromwich Albion and West Ham.
