Rams Championship winning keeper dies

less greenRams former legendary goalkeeper, Les Green has passed away following a long battle with cancer.

The diminutive keeper played for a number of non league and lower league clubs before being spotted by Peter Taylor and Brought to Derby County. Green played 107 games for Derby County out of a career total of 189 professional games. Some of his former clubs were Hull City, Burton Albion, Hartlepool United, Rochdale, before he join Derby and Durban City after his stint with the Rams.

Les claimed a winners medal for the then second division championship for Derby County in the promotion season of 1968-69 season.
