Rams Chairman Honoured

C:WindowsTempphpF2C2.tmpOwner and Chairman of Derby County Mel Morris has been awarded the CBE in the Queens Birthday Honours list.

The former John Port Etwall scholar has gone on to amass a considerable personal fortune, estimated at present at around £500m. His charity work, which includes a  7 figure gift of a robotic surgery machine to the Royal Derby hospital was part of his work that has earned him the accolade.

Mr Morris also earned the CBE,or Commander of the excellent order of the British Empire, for his condsiderable business acument, which has netted him his considerable fortune.

Derby County are Mel's latest project and with a reputation of persisting until he gets what he desires it is expected to Derby County to be gaining a place in the Premiership soon rather than later if Mr Morris has anything to do with it.
