C:WindowsTempphp9C2E.tmpDerby County have completed a double swoop today in the transfer market bagging two International quality players.

For England striker Darren Bent is back on a two year permanent deal following his highly successful loan spell with the Rams toward the end of last season. A loan which saw Bent score a dozen goals in just 17 appearances for the Rams. We all hope he can carry on that sort of form into the new season and beyond. Bent played for England on 13 occasions.

Bent has spoken to new Rams boss Paul Clement over the last week and is delighted to be moving to a club now managed by the former Chelsea and Real Madrid head coach. Bent added that “once his contract was up at Villa, there was only one place he could see himself being, at that was Derby”.

The 26 year old has a wealth of Premiership and International experience behind him and is seen as an ideal new face to stiffen up the central defence. He arrives from Reading, where he has been Captain. He joins Derby County on a three year deal and again is keen to meet his new team mates and learn under new head coach Paul Clement.
