C:WindowsTempphpF060.tmpIs it a reaction to recent leaks in the goals against column or just good sense to add Nottingham Forest legend Des Walker to the U21 coaching staff.

Craig Short another Derby County legend, is also joining the coaching staff at the Academy until the end of the season initially.

Des Walker, now 50 years of age has 54 England caps and was in the England World Cup side that reached the semi final of the 1990 competition

Craig Short made 118 appearances for the Rams after his transfer from Notts County. He also made appearances for Everton, Blackburn Rovers in the Premier league, finally ending his career with Ferencvaros. He went on to manage the side from 2009-2010, returning to Notts County from June to October of 2010.

If the pairing can get just a small perentage of their talent and skill to the Derby youngsters then our defense will benefit enormously.
