The battle of Britain, as last evenings International between Scotland and England turned out to be bitter sweet for our two Derby County representatives.
Chris Martin, on for his first International start for Scotland had a torrid time against the England defence, being substituted at half time.
Meanwhile Johnny Russell was a second half substitute. Coming on with only nine minutes of normal time left. He made an immediate impact. His quick feet and pass setting up a goal for Andrew Robertson. Sadly for the Scotch lads it was ‘too little too late’. England already 2-0 up at the time scored just a few moments later to make the final score Scotland 1 England 3.
Hopefully both forwards can now look forward to the weekend and keeping the Rams on top of the Championship, as they travel to Watford.
