Rams add a Warrior to their staff

Derby County have today added to their squad of Backroom boys by bringing in Fitness Coach Nigel Ashley-Jones (35). Jones, who is Australian, joins the Rams after successful times with Premier Rugby Union side Saracens. His connection with Paul Jewell began at Wigan where he helped on the strength and conditioning of his football side, whilst still administering the same advise to the Wigan Warriors rugby league team.Fitness and especially the strength aspect seems to have been overlooked at Pride Park for quite some time and the ability to win the ball and stay on two feet may be vastly improved with the coaching Ashley-Jones can bring.
This now brings to total amount of backroom staff Jewell has brought in to six, mainly replacing staff that left the club on the departure of Billy Davies...
