Soccer Hooligans from both Derby County and Leeds United are being urged to quell any violence or disruption that they may have planned for Sunday's final game of the regular season.

Derbyshire Constabulary are issuing leaflets to known soccer hooligans from both sides and are advising them to stay away from the area around Pride Park on the day.

Leeds United are all but relegated but their fans are said to be contemplating turning up in their thousands for Sunday's game despite only 1500 tickets being allocated to them. An FA directive has seen the Leeds allocation reduced by 500 tickets for persistent standing during the season.

Derbyshire Police are warning any Leeds fan without a ticket not to travel to Derby. Extra Police have been drafted in for the game and no alcohol will be served inside the ground to United fans during the game.

Rival hooligan gangs from both sides have been taunting one another on various message boards, including Derby County Mad's for several weeks and the Derby Lunatic Fringe (DLF) and Leeds Service Crew are said to be looking for disorder and violence.

Police have said they will come down hard on any disturbance and have warned local licensees to review their security arrangements for the day. Many pubs will be closed on Sunday before the 1.00pm kick-off and many will not re-open until the evening.
