Planet Swans continue attack on the Rams over Bodde saga

Pathetic articles on planet Swans
It is over a week since Derby County discontinued their interest in Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde but still this has proved to be the biggest news story for the small Welsh club in years. Swansea tried to hold Derby County to ransom, even after the Rams raised their original offer to come in line with Swans Chairman, Huw Jenkins, estimation of £2m.

Although the story may have been top news in Swansea they now feel the need to continue the row, or at least goad the Rams fans by stating in an article written by Phil Sumbler on the planet swans website that Bodde would have been released to a Premiership club ............(had one made an offer).

The ridiculous article goes on to state "a stark reminder to Derby that one season in the Premiership doesn't make a big club" Can we remind Planet Swans the Rams do have a proud tradition of 124 years, founder members of the Football league in 1888 and have occupied a place in the top division of English football for over 70 of those 124 years.

Ferrie Bodde
Poor Ferrie Bodde held for ransom by a greedy Chairman and a ridiculous 50% sell on contract
Laughingly they claim that Ferrie made a 'decision' to stay at Swansea because a move to Derby County would be only for financial reasons. Rather than the truth that Ferrie saw Derby County as one of the leading clubs out of the Premiership with a stadium and training academy the envy of several Premiership teams.

Well, don't kid yourself Mr Sumbler, we know why the deal collapsed and Ferrie has been forced to eat humble pie and try to single handedly keep Swansea in the Championship. Your Chairman and the fact that an idiotic and practically unheard of 50% sell on clause in Boddie s contract were the real stumbling blocks and will continue to hold Ferrie back in future transfer dealings. A stupid move on someones part within Swansea City FC, even if Bodde is worth the £1m Mr Jenkins wants and the £1m Derby County were expected to pay his original Dutch club.

Have fun next season and good luck Ferrie Bodde, you will certainly need it at a small club like Swansea...
