Paul's Jewell

Miles Addison
Miles Addison is the midfield spark Jewell has been looking for and sees a bright future and possibly a Captains role.
Paul Jewell believes he has found a gem in Miles Addison. The 19 year old midfielder has been an instant success after being given his chance by the Rams boss against Preston in the Carling Cup.

Miles was supposed to be a central defensive player but Jewell's gamble on him in midfield has paid off handsomely and is one of the reasons the reasons the Rams have won their first league game in nearly a year last Saturday against Sheffield United.

Jewell has gone further in his praise and claims "One day I expect him to be Captain, if he continues to improve".

Addison's steel in midfield and his determination to win the ball is a major plus for the Rams. His willingness to challenge for every ball is refreshing to see and this seems to be rubbing off on his fellow players. Confidence is now slowly being brought back into the Rams play and that has to be thanks to the part Addison has played in the last few games.

Derby hope to continue the good form this weekend when they entertain Cardiff City. A win would see the rams climbing the table in the early stages of the season and attain a mid-table position from where they can launch an attack on the promotional positions...
