Lewin Nyatanga hopes to be youngest ever Welsh full International

Yet another Derby County youngster can make history on Wednesday night as Lewin Nyatanga bids for a starting place in the Welsh team that plays Paraguay.

Nyatanga was born in Burton-on-Trent but has a Welsh mother and if he recovers from a toe injury will beat the record for youngest full International for Wales, currently held by Ryan Green at 17 and 226 days.

Welsh Boss John Toshack is keen to have Lewin in the starting line-up for the Welsh but said he will not risk the youngster if his toe injury has not fully healed.

Paraguay are using the match as a warm-up for the summers World Cup match against England and hope Wales play a similar game to the English side.
