ramsvforestbook.JPGAsk any Rams, or Forest fan which games they look forward to when the fixtures come out and most will tell you the East Midlands derby between Derby County and Nottingham Forest .

DB Publishing and Derby County Mad are pleased to announce the release of brand new football title: Derby Days: The Rams Rivalry with Nottingham Forest by Gareth Davis and Phil Matthews.

Derby County v Nottingham Forest is a rivalry steeped in history, drama, controversy, success, failure, and pretty much anything else football can throw at you.

Derby''s Days delves deep into the rivalry to see just what makes it tick and why it is so special to everyone involved - from players to managers to supporters.

As the title suggests it’s a look at all things great and good from a black and white perspective, celebrating the history of this most anticipated of fixtures and looking back in great detail over many of the Rams greatest moments against their foes from along Brian Clough Way...

To make this book extra special below we have details of the book signings the authors have coming up.

Derby County mad have been given the chance to review the book and have to say it is one of the most interesting publications for Rams and Forest fans for years.

We can all recall at least one special moment in these highly charged games but you need a good memory to recall all that are featured in this book. The games featured start in the 1970’s until the present day. Gareth Davis and Phil Matthews once again capture the pride, passion and incidents that make these fixtures unmissable.

Within the book are in depth views of each game, giving a brief background to the game, a match report, reactions , what happened next and featured players sections.

A great middle section as photographs of action from some of the ninety games that have taken place between the bitter rivals .

Toward the end of the book are all the stats, many of which are new to myself and I dare say other fans who love to read through these statistics. One interesting one gives the Rams leading goalscorer, which is Steve Bloomer. Not very surprising I hear you say, given he was our leading goalscorer of all time, but a quick look reveals he scored 27 goals against the Trees. Again not all that surprising you may think, but the next player in the list was Archie Goodhall with just four goals, a feat equalled by Rob Hulse and Gregor Rasiak.

To sum up, another must have book from the Derby Publishing Company. We have also been given a copy of this excellent read to give away to a lucky Derby County Mad reader. Watch this space for competition details.

If you are unlucky in our competition to win this book, you can purchase a copy at any good book store for just £9.99, or why not buy a book at the numerous author signing sessions given above.
