Nervous Rams loose the chance of automatic promotion

Well the dream is over for at least another month. Hopefully the Rams can re-group and claim the prize of a Premiership berth via the play-off final on May 28th at the New Wembley stadium.The Rams blamed their lack lustre performance against Crystal Palace on nerves. The 2-0 defeat gave automatic promotion to both Sunderland and Birmingham.

More bad news for the Rams as it looks as though knee ligament damage may have occurred as Giles Barnes stretched for a ball during the Palace match. The youngster had to be helped from the pitch and was later seen moving around on a pair of crutches. Marc Edworthy was another casualty of the game but his injury is thought not to be too serious.The Rams face a game next Sunday against Leeds United and barring a barrage of goals and Hull City being defeated, Leeds United will be relegated to the third tier of English football.
