Moody United won't let Mooney play

Derby County are to be without on-loan striker Tommy Mooney for their trip to Sheffield United on Saturday.
Mooney is still officially signed on at Brammell Lane after his loan spell there that started on 17th January. Sheffield let Mooney return to Birmingham when he was deemed to be surplus to requirements. (Tommy Mooney statistics)

After returning to St Andrews, Mooney received an enquiry from the Rams and was on his way to Pride Park within hours. However Sheffield United insisted that part of the deal for Mooney coming to Derby was a ban on him playing against Sheffield United.
Mooney was extremely disappointed in having to sit this game out but said “it had to be this way if I was to come to Derby”.
With the mighty Rams riding so high and being the force that they are, DC-Mad can see the logic in not wanting Tommy to play against their promotion chasing side. J
