NickyMaynard, the Rams will have to dig deep to afford this 23 year-old striker
Derby County will have to dig deep into any transfer kitty if they hope to take Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard to Pride Park in the summer. The 23 year-old has now scored 20 goals in the Championship this season after his brace against the Rams at the weekend.

Maynard came to prominence during his stay at Crewe (2005-08). Whilst there he scored 32 goals in just 59 appearances. He has taken that form forward after signing for Bristol City, scoring 30 times in 83 games.

Bristol City have just appointed a new manager in Steve Coppell and although not at the game on Saturday due to a pre-arranged family holiday his deputy Keith Millen insists that Maynard will be a player they are looking to build around, and that they would only be open to a huge offer for the striker...
