Leslie was born in Bewdley on the 19th December 1925. He was a wing player for the Rams , coming to the Baseball Ground in July 1949 after a successful career at both amateur and professional with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Rams at the time had some very good wingers but Leslie gained his place in the Derby County side following an injury to Reg Harrison. His appearances were however few and he eventually left to join Scunthorpe United in 1952.
Leslie leave s widow Barbara and a daughter Susan and his funeral will take place at Stourbridge Crematorium ay 10.20 am on Friday 1st August 2008...
