Lee Grant flying high with the Owls

Lee Grant released by the Rams and on his way to Sheffield Wednesday

This week will see Sheffield Wednesday sign Lee Grant. The 24 year-old former England Under 21 International has been released by Derby County and aims to re-start his career with the Owls.

Grant made 69 appearances for the Rams, his last was a 2-0 defeat at the Britannia Stadium against Stoke City on the 8th August 2006. He also made loan appearances for Burnley and Oldham during the 12 months Billy Davies has been in charge at Pride Park.

Grant was seen as third choice keeper at Derby behind Stephen Bywater and Lee Camp.
