After a succesful two day trial with Derby the 31 year old was all set for a season long loan but recent events and the appointment of John Gregory as new Rams manager has cast doubt over the aggreement.
Rumours are already surfacing that ex Derby County player and coach Eric Steele could be on the way back to Pride Park after he left to join Gregory at Villa Park. However Steele still has a lengthy contract to see out and with last nights protests against the board and Chairman Doug Ellis at Villa Park it is hard to see the Rams rocking any boats or paying off Steele's contract at this point.
