The season has not yet finished and on the back of yet another hammering last Saturday Paul Jewell has promised in a statement to BBC Radio Derby that Rams fans can look forward to an instant return to the Premiership.

His words taken from BBC Radio Derby's interview with the manager were; "The pain we are suffering now, I will repay next season with promotion. I have managed in the Championship for four seasons and been promoted twice and finished seventh once, so I am very confident we will get promoted."

The fans will now look forward to a summer of carefully selected signings to add to the talent already at the club. It is expected that at least seven of the players at the club will be leaving, many are at present on loan and will be looking to stay at the clubs they now find themselves with.
