Liam Dickinson
Liam Dickinson a very tall striker and could he be the real deal for Derby County?
Derby have been known to have a few tall strikers in their history but the latest target stands 6ft 4inches in his stocking feet.

The Rams search for replacements for Rob Earnshaw and Kenny Miller is now centred on Stockport County hitman Liam Dickinson. Is he the real deal or just a lower league player? Well he certainly put some goals away last season scoring 21 for Stockport including a strike at Wembley to ensure promotion to League One.

Tranmere are also being targeted, with Steve Davies ther 20 year old striker wanted by Paul Jewell. The Rams could have the youngster in their squad very shortly but with Davies being so young the Rama would need to compensate Tranmere.

A tribuneral may have to sort out the final fee but Jewell is confident that this can be avoided and a fee negotiated between the two clubs.

So the Rams look to be adding youth to the experience of Nathan Ellington and Emanuel Villa in their relentless search for a team that can fight for promotion to the Premiership...
