C:WindowsTempphpFE33.tmpWell bad injuries seem to follow Derby County around like a bad smell and the latest is to young England U21 Midfielder Will Hughes.

The blonde Rams play-maker has suffered damage to his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee after sustaining the i jury in Saturday's opening match of the 2015-16 season.

Will is to undergo immediate surgery to repair the ligament and the injury and recovery will see him out for six months. So no return to first team football until the early months of 2016.

It is hoped with youth on his side that Will may be a quick healer but the talented midfielder will not be rushed back and will give the injury plenty of time to heal properly.

Derby County suffered a similar injury set back last season with George Thorne effectively being out for the whole of last season. Thank-fully Derby now have strength in depth and may also consider a loan move to cover Will's absence.
