C:WindowsTempphp807D.tmpWill Hughes is one of the Rams brightest rising stars and his ability has not gone un-noticed by Premiership clubs. His run in the team since injury and return of his mentor Steve McClaren have turned the fortunes of Derby county round after a poor start to thie current season.

Talk yesterday of a rejection of terms for his new contract with the Rams made Premiership ears prick up and supporters hearts break. However news today is that £15m rated Hughes has returned to the negotiating table and the club are confident of a positive outcome.

The twenty one year-olds contract is up at the end of next season 2017-2018 and it would surprise many if the Rams fail to gain promotion to the Premiership before then, if Will moves to a top six club in the Premiership.
