Steve Howard has at last broken his duck for the season during his debut for Scotland B Tonight.

Howard scored with a trademark header in the 83 minute of the game against the Republic of Ireland. Ireland had taken the lead in the 65th minute but the late equalizer was well deserved by the Scots.

The turn out for the game at Airdrie's Excelsior stadium was a low 3,133 but that was to be expected following the late Italian strike that saw the full International side knocked out of the European Championships on Saturday.

Howard will now return to Pride Park and hope that he can repeat his strike, if given the chance to play, against Chelsea on Saturday evening, kick-off 5.15...
