Eddie was brought into the Rams squad by ex manager Billy Davies and despite playing more than 20 times for Derby County in the Premier League was never really a crowd favourite.
At 34 Eddie is coming to the end of a fairly successful career including a spell in the American national squad.
It is thought he will return to the US and join up with LA Galaxy, David Beckham and all, although CD Chivas may also be after his services.
