Dickinson gets confusing message from his manager

Liam Dickinson loan star asked to prove himself at Championship level
Well most of us have heard of him but few have seen him. Who! Liam Dickinson.

With the Rams struggling to score goals in the Championship it is confusing for the player and fans alike when Paul Jewell asks the 23 year old to prove himself at Championship level, which he duely did for Blackpool this weekend, coming on as a substitute to score two goals and hand a Championship rival all three points.

Why on earth did Jewell pay £750,000 for a striker who scores goals where ever he has been and a career record of 81 appearances and 41 goals and then loan him out?
One reason could be that there is an add-on clause to the selling price of Dickinson, which we believe is brought into play through appearances or goals scored. Is Jewell actually frightened that he may score too many if he brings Dickinson into the side, or can't we afford the additional payments?

It's a strange arrangement to say the least and one that has had rumour and speculation attached to it for a while. Surely at nearly £1m paid for a player he deserves to 'prove' himself at Championship level with Derby County rather than handing rivals in the same league valuable points by his goal scoring exploits?...
